In this one-time class, I will read "From Tadpole to Frog," by Wendy Pfeffer and illustrated by Holly Keller. Before reading, as well as, during reading I will ask learners to make predictions about the book and the life cycle of frogs. During and after reading I will ask learners comprehension questions about the life cycle of the frog. After the story we will cut a paper plate to create a lily pad to use as the front of our frog's life cycle wheel. I will show learners how to create a water lily to add to the top of their lily. Next, I will show learners how to connect the frog life cycle wheel to the lily pad. Lastly, we will review the life cycle as a class with our frog life cycle wheel.
