I have 20 years of elementary (Pre-K to 8) education experience, 18 of those years having been spent in public school classrooms as a sought-after substitute teacher. I have experience teaching students with multiple intelligences, ASD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, auditory processing and sensory processing disorders. I'm confident that I can help your child progress at a pace that is comfortable for him/her, while also helping them build confidence in their abilities.

Please note: If fractions is not the area your child needs support with, please reach out to me or check out my one-on-one math classes. I can focus on any or all areas of math curricula in the elementary grades.

Hello! My name is Jen. I live in Ontario, Canada and I was an elementary teacher Pre-K to Grade 8 for 18 years in the public school system. I have been an online teacher since May 2019, and I really enjoy teaching small group and one on one classes. I teach classes for all of these age ranges including one on one tutoring instruction. I'm most passionate about teaching K to 6 math and teaching reading using phonics and the sounds we hear in words to help kids read and spell with increased accuracy.

From building your child's reading and spelling confidence, to learning fractions and order of operations, to singing, moving, and sharing with kindergarten students, I can't wait to meet your learner! My goal is for every student to leave my class with new information, personal connections, and a smile on their face.

My husband and I have two children ages 14 and 12, and we enjoy our three cats, summers spent by the pool, and time with friends and family.
