In this  French course learners will broaden their French knowledge using a variety of vocabulary in an intermediate-beginner level.
This course is for learners who have intermediate-beginner level in French. Learners who enroll in this course should know the following: saying the time in different ways using the number of minutes and O’clock, sentences in present about daily routines, comparing a school timetable/schedule, nationalities, conjugation of verbs ending in “er”, describing characters, numbers 100-1000, vocabulary and phrases about transportation.
This class will be taught in French. In this course, learners will be sent files to print out prior to start each class, please be sure to have the material ready to use it during classes as different activities will be part of this French language  learning.   Students will learn important  vocabulary making sentences to broaden  their vocabulary in  the French Language. PowerPoint presentation, videos, songs, props and creative activities  will be used in this course. Students might get assignments to study what they learn in class. Learners will learn how to give directions to get to different places, they will use prepositions of place, learners will learn vocabulary about different transportation and their preferences, learner will give a presentation using a map to give directions, conjugations of verbs ending in -ir will be studied, learners will learn how to say where to buy groceries, clothes, shoes, etc. Furthermore, learners will ask for prices when buying in a store, learners will describe clothes and different styles using different adjectives and articles, learner will learn vocabulary about sports and they will express how often they practice some sports. Learners will have two reviews one in the lesson 6 and one on the last class to help them to reinforce what they have been learning.
There will be 2 reviews one in half course and one at the end of the course. The breakdown of this course is as follows:
Lesson 1: In the city (there is, there are, places in a city e.g.: museum, stores, etc.)
Lesson 2: Transportation (vocabulary, how to go to…, I like travelling by..)
Lesson 3: Directions (Imperative, giving directions, verbs: prendre, vouloir, prepositions of place)
Lesson 4: Directions ( presentations)
Lesson 5: Verbs conjugations  in present -ir 
Lesson 6:  Review (Lesson 1-5), 
Lesson 7: Where can I buy? (vocabulary about different stores, answering using sentences “Vous pouvez l’acheter +store)
Lesson 8: Clothing Style (adjectifs démonstratifs)
Lesson 9: Describing clothes, style.(adjectives, articles indéfinis, articles définis)
Lesson 10: Shopping  (asking for the price: ‘C’est combien…?’ regarding items in a shop)
Lesson 11: Sports (faire, jouer, qu’est-ce que, exprimer la fréquence)
Lesson 12:  Review Units 7-11
