Fracciones para principiantes: ¡Fracciones de Minecraft! (Introducción a las fracciones como un todo)

In this class, students will learn the basic concept of fractions using their love of Minecraft. STUDENTS WILL NOT PLAY THE GAME MINECRAFT IN THIS CLASS.  This is a Minecraft themed lesson. 

We will be reviewing fractions as (a whole). This class is designed to be either a remedial lesson or an introduction lesson to fractions as a whole. Students' prior knowledge of fractions can be minimal to none. Students will need to know addition. 

This class begins with students watching/listening to a short power point slide to introduce the concepts taught in the lesson. Students will then participate in activities as a class to demonstrate fractions as a whole. We will be writing fractions and drawing pictures! The class will finish off with an independent activity using Kahoot. This activity serves as a review of all the concepts taught in the lesson. It is recommended that students use a second device (cell phone, iPad, tablet) for Kahoot. Further instructions on Kahoot will be sent to enrolled students.
