Although fourth graders are becoming more fluent readers, they still need to practice oral reading. This class will help readers work on comprehension and vocabulary as well as become more fluent. This class includes a balance of fiction and non-fiction as well as poetry, all reading formats necessary for this level of reading. TYPICAL CLASS ROUTINE:
Greeting/Get to know you time
Class time, including teaching of given topic and practice of that skill
Closing which may include a puppet, a game, or show and tell, depending on the type of class your learner is taking. My goal is to have every child smiling and excited to return to the next class!

ABOUT ME:
When I'm not in the classroom, I love to spend time outside walking or working in my yard, reading, or spending time with friends. I also like to bake bread and make cookies.
