In this grade four math course, students will gather together to learn different numeracy concepts and skills! Students in class should have a good understanding of the grade 3 math concepts (addition and subtraction 0-1000, time, measurement, multiplication and division with factors 0-10, basic fractions, etc). This course runs throughout the school year (September to July) and your little one is able to join anytime! Weekly worksheets will be sent every Sunday at 7PM MST that go along with each class (along with 2 extra sheets for optional homework). If you are unable to print the worksheets that is not a problem, just make sure your little learner has a pencil and paper or a felt/whiteboard! (All students should have paper and pencil or a whiteboard/marker for each class). 1. Greeting/How are you? Students will say hello to the teacher and one another. 2. Students will work on the math concept of the week. Teacher and students will discuss the concept, and the teacher will demonstrate on the whiteboard/computer. 3. Students will get to practice the concept in a fun an engaging way (interactive slides). 4. Teacher will go over the worksheet that goes along with the class content. Often (as long as time permits) we will complete the worksheet in class. There will also be an optional homework sheet that goes along with each. Families can choose to complete this if they wish (to be checked at home). The extra sheet will have similar questions to the ones done in class, and may also have some questions that are a little more challenging for students who want to extend their learning. 5. Questions: The teacher will answer any questions the students may have about the weekly topic / worksheet. 6:Goodbye/ See you next time! Students will work on different math skills including (but not limited to) multiplication, division, fractions, area, perimeter, measurement, place value, geometry, etc.

Multiplication Review
Students will review their multiplication facts / rules with factors 0-4. Students will understand that we can skip count the factors to create the product (example: 3 x 4 = 12.... we can count by 3, 4 times... 3, 6, 9, 12....OR we can count by 4, 3 times.. 4, 8, 12). Students will receive their weekly worksheets every Sunday at 7PM MST. These worksheets will be started at the end of class (completed in class time permitting). If you are unable to print, please make sure your little one has paper and pencil or a whiteboard and marker. Students may also need blocks, counters (cereal, small coins, etc) and other varies household items to assist. If materials are needed I will put them in the weekly update :)
