Experiencia de clase

Nivel de inglés: desconocido
Grado de EE. UU. 4
Each week in this on-going course students will view an interesting interactive presentation. Many classes will include live and recorded demonstrations and optional in class experiments. On weeks that we have experiments, I will perform the experiments on camera or step through a prerecorded video of myself performing the experiment. The students have the option to perform the experiment at home along with me or observe me performing the experiment. If students wish to participate at home, required supplies for each experiment will be provided at least a week in advance in the supply list below for this class. Most if not all optional experiments use simple household items.

This on-going class is designed for someone who needs to complete a 4th grade science class as well as someone who is currently enrolled in a 4th grade Science class and wants additional help.

Each week will be an independent lesson. The weeks do not build upon each other. This will allow learners to pop in and out of the course as it suits their schedule. However, I am available through the classroom and Outschool messenger anytime the learner may have a question.

This class will be fun and interactive we will learn through presentations, experimentation, and games.

Learners will NOT be required to login to any website. I do use Nearpod and Kahoot in my lessons. Learners may need to click on a link but no login or accounts will be needed. These sites are used to help make the class even more interactive and fun. Throughout the lesson, the learner’s progress will be measured through interactive games, quizzes, and questions within the Nearpod presentation. Learners will be responding on their own devices.

This course meets NGSS standards for 4th grade Science.

Hi, I am very happy to have the opportunity to help your child learn and realize their full potential in Science. My classes are fun and exciting. Your Learners will learn all about Science while completing cool and fascinating experiments. In each class students will get the opportunity to perform fun but educational labs. They will learn how and why everything works. I'm a Chemist. I obtained a BS in Chemistry and Secondary Education with a minor in Computer Science from Longwood University. I have taught in the public school system teaching Chemistry and Mathematics on the High School level. In addition, I have taught Science classes on the Middle School level. I also teach ESL courses online. I also love crafting and cooking. I began learning to sew, knit, bake and cook at about 8 years old at home and in the 4-H club. Since College I have also fell in love with real estate, and have become a real estate investor. It's like real life monopoly. Real estate investing is fun and challenging all in one.

Currently I am a Chemist for the Department of Transportation. What I do enjoy most about my job with the DOT is when I get the opportunity to work with STEM students throughout the year. They visit and I get to show them all the cool stuff I do at work. I have always had a love for science and teaching. I would always find a way to do experiments and teach my dolls as a kid. I love teaching so much and can't wait to possibly inspire more future Scientist.
