Combustibles fósiles: comprensión de los recursos no renovables

In this one-time course, learners will engage with a geologist to explore the world of fossil fuels. We will discuss the ways in which we use these non-renewable resources, gain an understanding of the advantages and disadvantages associated with their use, and learn about how and where they are found. Learners will model the method used to determine the presence and abundance of oil using modeling clay or playdough in this class. We will also discuss production versus consumption of these resources and make a visual  representation by producing a graph for comparison. Learners will be engaged and encouraged to share ideas related to their own energy consumption in this class. 

Note: Although this is a one time class, it is highly encouraged that learners take the next one-time class on renewable resources where we will explore alternative energy sources.
