This class is a continuation of the Flute 101 series. Students should be comfortable with the material covered in parts I, II and III. Please get a copy of the book and see what has been covered previously if you have not taken the previous classes. Students will learn new notes and scales: A major scale, B-flat (new fingerings), 1st octave E-flat and D and third octave D. Students will add sixteenth notes to their previous knowledge of half notes, whole notes, eighth notes and other basic rhythms. Students will learn how to play syncopation. My teaching style is to cover one lesson per week and add as much extra material to the basic material covered as possible. Students will play for me or play with me or play together as a group (muted so that they can play all together).
