This lively and supportive reading class uses Reader’s Theater to help young readers build fluency, improve comprehension, and grow their confidence—without the pressure of memorization or acting. Each class, learners share a new fun script written at an appropriate reading level. Together, we’ll take turns reading aloud, exploring the characters, and discussing what’s happening in the story. With repeated reading and gentle coaching, students naturally improve their expression, pacing, and understanding. What We’ll Focus On: 🧠 Comprehension: Understand what’s happening in the story through group discussion and guided questions. 🗣️ Fluency: Practice reading smoothly, with expression and proper pacing, through repeated reading. 💬 Character Understanding: Talk about who the characters are and how they change. 🌟 Confidence: Read aloud in a supportive space with positive encouragement and no pressure to perform. Students are introduced to and choose their characters for reading. Step into the enchanting world of Willow Wood, where four animal friends embark on a journey of discovery & teamwork. Learners will bring the story “In the Heart of Willow Wood” to life by reading aloud, taking on character roles, and working together to perform a fun and expressive script.
Students will:
Practice fluency through repeated, expressive reading
Strengthen comprehension by exploring character motives, plot twist.

The Mystery of the Missing Moonberries
Readers will step into character, solve a woodland whodunit, and strengthen key literacy skills along the way. This interactive class uses dramatic reading and teamwork to build:

Confidence – by practicing public speaking in a fun, no-pressure environment

Lección 3:
The Big Storm and the Burrow
The wind is howling, the rain is pouring and four woodland animals must find a way to stick together when a storm shakes their peaceful burrow. Readers step into character and learn what it means to stay calm, work together, and speak up; even when the skies are dark!
In this class, learners will build:
Reading fluency through repeated, expressive reading
Comprehension skills by exploring setting, dialogue, and character choices
Confidence by reading aloud in a safe, supportive, fun space

Lección 4:
The Secret of the Singing Stone
Deep in the forest lies a mysterious stone that hums with a strange melody. What secret does it hold and can four brave animal friends uncover its magic? In this class, learners will bring the story “The Secret of the Singing Stone” to life while building essential reading skills along the way.

Practice fluency through repeated, expressive reading
Strengthen comprehension by exploring character motives, plot twist
