Experiencia de clase

Do you want to feel more confident, positive, and act intentionally every day? The habits we build - such as gratitude, mindfulness, time management, goal setting, and self-compassion—shape how we navigate life. But without practice and intention, they can easily slip away! In this ongoing weekly club, you will get the tools, strategies, reminders, and support to make these habits part of your routine, helping you stay motivated, manage time effectively, and live with purpose and positivity. Let’s build a life that truly flourishes!

When we live with intention and positivity, every part of our life improves. We feel more energized, approach each day with a positive attitude as well as confidence, and build better relationships. This mindset shapes how we treat others, how we see ourselves, and how well we stay motivated and productive in school and other activities.

In each class, the teacher will guide and support learners in building positive habits. Together, we’ll reflect on what we are grateful for, explore a new life skill or self-improvement topic, and set personal goals based on our weekly theme. Our class environment will be encouraging and positive, and learners are welcome to share with the class at their own comfort level.

To flourish means to grow, thrive, and live fully and with purpose. Let’s flourish together this summer!

Each class meeting will follow the same format:

1.	Easy Game or Check-In Question
2.	Gratitude prompt
3.	Teacher-led Lesson about a self-improvement or life skills topic (see specific topics below)
4.	Discussion
5.	5-10-minute Journaling Time
6.	Identify Goals

Please note that as part of this class is discussion-based, class may end earlier than the allotted time if fewer learners are present or if learner sharing is limited. Thank you for understanding.

Please have pen & paper with you when you log into class.

Note that this is a weekly subscription class. After your initial subscription payment, you will be billed weekly for this class on Sunday mornings. If you plan to miss a class and do not want to be charged, you can pause or stop your subscription before Sunday. Note that your spot in the class is not held in this situation though. If you choose to stay enrolled, you will have access to the class recording for the class you miss. Weekly Lesson Topics:

June 3rd – The Importance of Inspiration: Inspiration helps us be motivated to achieve things in life. We will talk about where we find inspiration and what can prevent us from seeking those things that inspire us.

June 10th – Becoming More Positive: When we have a positive mindset, we feel happier. We will talk about ways to be a more positive person, such as doing something nice for someone and celebrating our successes.

June 17th – No Class

June 24th - Worrying: Worrying prevents us from enjoying the good in our life at the present moment. We will talk about the negative effects of worrying and learn a method to deal with worries and move forward.

July 1st - How Helping Others Helps Us: Volunteering & helping others boosts our happiness, health, and well-being. We will talk about ways we can help others in our own family, our neighborhood, and our community.

July 8th - Mindfulness: Mindfulness is embracing and being aware of the present moment, bringing your full attention and thoughts to whatever you are doing, and it has lasting health benefits. We will talk about ways to live mindfully.

July 15th - Self-Compassion: Self-Compassion is treating yourself with the same kindness and care that you give your good friends, especially when you are going through a hard time. We will discuss self-compassionate things you do or can do.

July 22nd - Forming Habits: Habits help you reach your goals and can make your life easier. We will talk about habits we want to develop and learn the steps needed to adopt these new habits.

July 29th - Time Management: Time Management helps us make better decisions and perform better in school, reduces anxiety, increases our independence, and gives us more time for the important things in our lives. We will talk about skills and habits to adopt to help us manage our time.

August 5th - Emotions & Emotional Awareness: Emotions are part of human nature. They give us information about what we are experiencing and guide our reactions. Emotional Awareness helps us identify our feelings and recognize, respect, and accept them. This helps us resolve conflicts better and handle difficult feelings more easily. We will talk about how to build emotional awareness.

August 12th – Being Instead of Doing: Doing is getting things done. Doing helps us accomplish what we need & want to do, but it can wear us down. Being is noticing where you are and who you are right now, being fully present in the current moment. It gives us a needed break from doing. We will talk about how to transition from doing to being mode and how to tell when that is needed.

Metas de aprendizaje

Each week, learners will explore a new life skill or self-improvement topic and create a plan to apply it in daily life. Through reflection and goal setting, they will build habits that help them live with intention, confidence, and a positive mindset.
