Escritura creativa flexible: los niños aprenden a escribir de forma básica y usan su imaginación

En esta clase de escritura asincrónica para principiantes, los niños comenzarán con fonética, palabras reconocibles a simple vista y oraciones básicas. Luego, pasarán a cuentos cortos y se divertirán con su imaginación. Nota: el único comentario es sobre su historia al final.

Tarea
1-2 horas por semana. Each week, they follow the writing instructions in the videos. I do not give feedback on their writing until one story at the end. I've priced this class very cheaply to provide parents and students with some help with the basics of writing so that they are ready for my chapter book writing classes and camps. However, at the end, I will be happy to look at a 2 to 4 page story and tell them what I love and what to work on.

Nivel Beginner
This ten-week beginner writing class uses storytelling to help kids develop a solid foundation for writing skills, using the characters they love. In progressive steps, they will build their confidence so that the writing is easy and fun.

Before they start the class, they should to learn their small and upper case letters. They can learn this very easily using an app or a workbook. I recommend Alpha Tots, Duolingo ABCs, and Dora's ABCs. Then they will learn to write basic words and sentences, advancing to longer sentences. They'll learn the basics and avoid establishing bad habits that are hard to break later.

This course is ten weeks, but it could also be done in a week or two weeks if the student focuses on doing the work every day.

If parents or students have any questions before their final story submission, please send me a direct message. The final story should also be in a direct message to me, not posted in the classroom.

Week One:
They'll learn twenty simple spelling words (she, it, go) and sight words (there, bear). They'll write basic sentences with those words. They'll learn to use a capital at the beginning of the sentence and a period at the end.

Week Two:
They'll learn twenty simple words and sight words. They'll write basic sentences about themselves. (My name is Kim. I am six years old.) They will learn to capitalize I.

Week Three:
They'll learn twenty simple words and sight words. They'll write basic sentences about their family or friends with those words, adding adjectives. (My friend has a black dog.)

Week Four
They learn twenty simple words and sight words. They'll write five questions using the sight words - when, why, where, who, what. Then they will answer those questions about themselves.
(What do you like to do? I like to play soccer.)

Week Five:
They'll learn twenty simple words and sight words. They'll write descriptive sentences with adjectives and adverbs about their family, friends, home, and animals.
(My crazy cat meows loudly.)

Week Six:
They'll learn twenty simple words and sight words. They'll write a five-ten sentence mini story using present tense verbs. This will be the first imaginary story. They will start with a character, add a problem, and then find a solution to the problem for the end.
(Tommy is a robot. He is sad because he has no friends. He decides to go to school. He meets a small boy named Bob. Bob loves robots. They laugh and play. The End.)

Week Seven:
They'll learn twenty simple words and sight words. They will write a longer story with more description in past tense.

Week Eight:
They'll learn ten simple words and sight words and choose ten more bonus words in an area of interest. They will write ten sentences about something that interests them. For example, if they want to write about dinosaurs, they will need to learn words connected to dinosaurs, such as fossils or prehistoric.

Week Nine:
They'll learn twenty simple words and sight words. They will write a longer imaginary picture book using past tense verbs, learning the beginning, middle, and end of a story structure.

Week Ten:
They'll learn twenty words in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. They will read the first chapter.
Option One: They'll write a story about a boy or girl who wins a "magic ticket" to something.
Option Two: They'll continue their story from last week.
Metas de aprendizaje
They will learn 200 basic words and sight words, simple sentences, and basic grammar (capitals, periods). They will build their confidence and develop foundational writing skills.

Necesidades de aprendizaje
This can really help kids who have fallen behind in school and need some extra help, no matter what their special needs might be.
Orientación para padres
I give them a lot of fun possibilities to explore their imaginations. They are writing about anything in their imaginations. It's how they have the most fun and get very enthusiastic about writing. The videos do not have any inappropriate material. I try to make it super fun.
Requisitos previos
This is for any native speaker or ESL learner who wants to improve their writing, especially if they make a lot of basic mistakes. If you are an ESL learner and want to practice pronunciation and speaking, join my ESL Flex class.
