Experiencia de clase

This quick, 20 minute ongoing class is designed to help young learners strengthen their fine motor skills through fun, creative activities. Fine motor skills (movement of hand, fingers, and thumb) are important for a variety of everyday tasks, from eating, to writing, to getting dressed, and more! As learners strengthen and develop these fine motor skills they will be more independent in performing these tasks.

In this class learners will complete quick activities to help develop and strengthen their fine motor skills. Each class will include one activity, to be completed in the class time, but can always be repeated after class for more practice! The class will be engaging and may even have games and challenges related to each activity! Please check the classroom each week for details about the materials needed for class, the list will be posted at least 4 days before class. You can check the supply area below for a general idea of what you will need each week. Most materials will be common household items, but please check to be sure you have them before class!

Week 2 (Sept. 15): Bean Pictures
Week 3 (Sept. 22): Sponge Soaker
Week 4 (Sept. 29): Sticky Stickers
Week 5 (Oct. 13): Pipe Cleaner Art

Ciao ciao!
I'm Ms. Meredith and I live in northeastern Massachusetts. I consider myself to be a lifelong learner, and I hope to motivate others, especially young learners, to become lifelong learners as well! I aim to encourage young learners to find a passion that will inspire them to love learning and lead them to continue learning throughout their lives.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Immaculata University in Pennsylvania and a STB Theology degree from the Pontificia Universita San Tommaso D'Aquino in Rome, Italy. I have worked with learners of all ages in many different capacities for over 15 years. I have been a summer camp counselor, swim instructor, peer mentor, online ESL teacher, and I was a nanny and English language tutor for a family in Italy for three years. I currently work full-time teaching music and theology to learners of all ages.
When I am not teaching you can find me traveling or cooking! I have lived in 4 different States and also in Italy for 5 years. My travels have taken me to 49 States in the USA and 31 countries throughout North America and Europe. I would love to share my stories, experiences, and what I have learned through my travels with young learners to help them to recognize and appreciate the beauty and diversity of our country and our world.
I hope to inspire your learner to discover their own individual passions and fall in love with learning, so join me in the classroom for a discovery mission and begin the journey to lifelong learning!
