Through the use of PowerPoint slides, reading material about Millionaires and their strategies, and the use of interactive work sheets, students will learn the basic skills needed to save money, build credit, understand interest rates, and keep ledgers for their expenses, as well as a brief understanding of online banking ledgers. I teach through interaction to allow students to practice and ask questions. Each class will cover one section of the overall material being taught. Students will have time at the beginning of each lesson to review the previous class to ensure understanding, and prompt students to ask any additional questions. I have taught this class several times on different platforms and what I have found is that each student has their own goals. I help guide each student to build off of their own interests and abilities by adapting their budgeting tools such as google docs, paper ledgers, and other applications. I also help students set goals related to new employment or allowance income, plans to buy future cars, ability to build credit, and how to recognize and control impulse buying.
