Students will be introduced to yoga in a clear and gentle way, led by an experienced instructor.

We’ll start with a brief introduction and time for questions, then connect to the breath through mindful awareness and gentle breath control. Movement will be adjusted to each student’s needs, ensuring a safe and personalized experience. After building warmth to enhance focus, we’ll wind down with stretches and end in a restorative pose.

Students will practice mindful breathing, moving with the breath, and observing the body, promoting relaxation, clarity, and comfort.

They will learn key poses, moving the spine in all directions, improving circulation, and calming the nervous system—benefits supported by both tradition and science.

The class will be welcoming, lighthearted, and enjoyable.

Students are encouraged to ask questions and engage as much or as little as they like, with the opportunity for one-on-one guidance from a certified yoga teacher.

The Purpose & Benefits of yoga
Students will learn that yoga connects the body, mind, and breath. Through practice, they will discover what this feels like while enjoying its physical and emotional benefits.
Fundamental yoga poses
Students will learn a combination of fundamental postures that create a complete Yoga practice including Surya Namaskar (sun salutation), Tadasana (mountain pose), Trikonasana (tree pose), and Savasana (resting pose).

This one-on-one session is open to students of all learning needs. Breathing and connecting to the body will be adapted to their needs through inquiry and conversation.

-Comfy Clothes (that are easy to move around in. When in doubt, go for PJ's.)
-Yoga Mat or Fitness Mat (practicing on carpet is great too! You just want the surface to be comfortable)
-Chair (If getting up and down off the floor feels uncomfortable for you.)
-Blanket (For the most cozy relaxation.)
-Pillow (This is nice for seated poses and for our final relaxation.)

Perfil
Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
My yoga journey began in 2008, and I have been teaching others since 2015. My first experience teaching was in Ksar El Kabir, Morocco, where I collaborated with the Youth Center and a local gym to offer weekly classes for young women ages 13-25.

Since 2023, I have been teaching private online yoga classes, workshops, and weekly studio sessions. I am a Yoga Alliance Certified Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, with additional training in Kids Yoga and Chakra Yoga.

Some of the most rewarding moments of my career have been working with youth at an international school from 2013-2015, as well as serving as a Youth Development Volunteer with the U.S. Peace Corps from 2015-2016. These experiences have inspired me to share my true passion with others, now here on Outschool.
