Experiencia de clase

Nivel de inglés: desconocido
This program will explore what it means to be an apex predator! We will learn how living things are connected to one another, and demonstrate those relationships by constructing food chains. We will investigate photosynthesis, and dive into a discussion on energy transfer. We will also learn how tooth anatomy impacts prey selection, and calculate food consumption as we study the predator/prey relationship.

This program is highly immersive and will utilize biofacts (lots of shark teeth and jaws), videos, and a PowerPoint presentation. I believe in immersive storytelling, and strive to ensure each student is engaged with discussions that evoke critical thinking.

Metas de aprendizaje

Students can expect an introduction to ecological principles. The prey/predator relationship will be explored.
Students engaged in creating their own food chain that demonstrates a solid grasp of energy transfer in an appropriate ecosystem.

Lección 2:
Shark Tooth Anatomy
Students will first share their projects from lesson one as part of project-based learning and class collaboration that promotes public speaking. Then will dive into a lesson on shark tooth anatomy, and how tooth shape helps scientists predict a shark species prey with plenty of shark biofacts to reinforce the lesson.
