Class Description
In this engaging animal science course, learners will explore the fascinating world of animals — from their anatomy and physiology to behavior, reproduction, nutrition, and care. We will dive into topics such as livestock production, animal breeds and classification, animal health and diseases, and the role animals play in human life and agriculture. This course is perfect for curious learners who love animals and want to understand more about how they grow, live, and contribute to our world.

👉 What will be taught?
We will cover core animal science concepts, including:

Animal classifications (mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish)
Anatomy and physiology of different animal species
Livestock breeds and characteristics (beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, sheep, goats, poultry, and horses)
Animal nutrition and digestion
Reproduction and life cycles
Animal behavior and welfare
Common animal diseases and veterinary care basics
How humans use animals for food, fiber, companionship, and work

👉 How is the class structured?
Each class session will focus on one or two topics. We’ll start with a short introduction and warm-up question, move into an interactive lesson using slides and short video clips, followed by group discussion and a fun activity (like a trivia game, diagram labeling, or “animal mystery” guessing game). At the end of each class, learners will have the chance to ask questions and share something they learned.

👉 How will you teach?
I will use a combination of visual presentations (slides with images and diagrams), age-appropriate video clips, live discussion, and interactive activities to keep learners engaged. There will be polls, quizzes, and fun facts sprinkled throughout to keep things exciting!

👉 What’s your teaching style?
My teaching style is energetic, approachable, and supportive. I believe that learning should be fun, and I encourage curiosity and questions! I’m passionate about animal science and will bring real-world examples from my background as a ranch owner and educator.

Learners will have plenty of opportunities to interact:

We will start with an icebreaker or warm-up question in each class
Learners can participate in group discussions throughout the lesson
I will ask questions during the lesson to encourage engagement
Interactive games and activities will allow for friendly competition and collaboration
At the end of each class, there will be time for Q&A and learner-led discussion
