Week 2: The Power of Words
Objective: Use sensory language and specific details to create rich imagery.
Activities:
Workshop: What makes descriptions vivid?
Exercise: Write five sensory-based lines about an object or scene.
Writing Prompt: Write a poem that captures a moment using all five senses.
Homework: Revise your poem to make one sensory detail even more vivid.


Week 3: Rhythm, Flow, and Tone
Objective: Experiment with rhythm and tone to enhance the emotional impact of your poetry.
Activities:
Discussion: How line breaks, repetition, and pacing influence tone.
Writing Prompt: Write a poem that reflects a specific mood (joy, sadness, anger, etc.).
Group Feedback: Share lines with a partner and discuss how they sound aloud.
Homework: Edit your poem, focusing on how rhythm supports its mood.


Week 4: Telling Your Story
Objective: Use poetry to share personal experiences or tell a story.
Activities:
Discussion: How to balance narrative and emotion in poetry.
Writing Prompt: Write a poem about a turning point in your life.
Peer Review: Share drafts and provide feedback on clarity and impact.

Week 5: Finding Your Unique Style
