Throughout this course, you will delve into the science behind food, understand its components, learn about nutrition, explore food safety, and gain practical skills in food preparation. Class Structure: Teaching Tools: Canva slides for visual learning aids. In-Class Activities: Discussions, quizzes, games (like food trivia and factory simulations), and practical recipe demonstrations. Interaction: Students will actively participate through discussions, group activities, and hands-on experiments where applicable. Resources: Each student will receive a Google Drive link with lesson materials, including fun-to-make recipes, optional video links, and worksheets tailored to each lesson. Teaching Style: The teaching style blends interactive learning with practical application. Students will engage in discussions to deepen understanding, participate in games to reinforce concepts, and explore real-world examples of food science through recipes and experiments. The emphasis is on making learning enjoyable and applicable to everyday life.

During our time at school, we took various courses in food science and nutrition that helps us with a strong foundation of how the body works and how to best consume food, and the chemical changes that occurs in cooking and baking.
