Orientación para padres
We discuss mental illness in detail. I am sensitive to the fact that learners may have one of the psychological issues that are discussed in the classroom or lectures or may have experience with a family member or friend with one of the disorders. I let the learners know at the beginning of class that my classroom is a safe environment and that learners may bring up issues that are of a sensitive nature since we are discussing mental health. I will also make sure that I let the parent know of any concerns. I have been a mental health counselor for years and have taught abnormal psychology classes. I will be providing knowledge about the different categories of mental health disorders but there will be no suggested individual diagnosis or individual counseling as part of the curriculum.
Lista de útiles escolares
I will provide hand-outs as well as articles for the learners to read.
