When we are able to identify and name our emotions, we are better equipped to regulate our responses. In this ongoing class, we will explore some of our big feelings. We will name them, discuss what may trigger them, and what might occur physiologically. We will also learn some common and easily implemented calming techniques to support the continuum of social-emotional learning and mental wellness. Learners will gain this knowledge through crafts, songs, videos, stories, discussions and a weekly worksheet. Fun and interactive methods are used all class long to keep young learners engaged and having fun (while secretly learning new skills). Weekly classes are listed as follows: Fri, Nov 1- calm/relaxed/in control Fri, Nov 8- excited Fri, Nov 15- scared Fri, Nov 22- embarrassed Fri, Nov 29- sad Fri, Dec 6-angry Fri, Dec 13- jealous Fri, Dec 20- craft activity Jan 12- calm/relaxed/in control Jan 19- excited Jan 26- scared Feb 2- embarrassed Feb 9- sad Feb 16-angry Feb 23- jealous Mar 2- craft activity
