I believe that everyone has artistic abilities, and my inclusive and supportive environment encourages exploration of art fundamentals.

Throughout this course, students will work on various projects that allow them to apply and experiment with the Elements of Art. They will build a comprehensive body of work that showcases their understanding and ability to incorporate these elements in their creative expressions. The benefits of this course include developing a strong understanding of art fundamentals, enhancing creative thinking and problem-solving skills, nurturing self-expression and confidence, building a diverse art portfolio, and gaining exposure to various artistic styles.

Weekly lessons and activities will consist of art drawing prompts, discussions about creativity and the art process, and imaginative drawings or projects. Students will also learn about featured artists and artistic movements.

Instructional materials may include PDFs, printable worksheets, Google Forms, and demonstration videos. Participants are encouraged to interact with the teacher and classmates during live online classes, posting original responses, observing artwork, and providing commentary. Expect to dedicate 2-4 hours of work each week, in addition to the 45-minute live class, with flexibility and choice in assignments to align with individual goals.

Students who have questions or seek feedback on their work can submit inquiries through the Outschool Classroom. For prompt responses, reach out during Teacher Office Hours, Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM PT to 5:00 PM PT. A live Zoom meeting can be requested for additional support.
