Nivel Intermediate
This condensed specialty class is ideal for students on summer or semester break. Essential Content - Students will learn about the intersections of law and policy that occur within schools, building off of and supplementing any existing US Social Studies/Civics courses they have already taken, and will receive practical takeaways that can be used immediately in pursuit of the news. Each session will introduce either a critical legal concept, or tools for using/navigating the law in pursuit of a news story. Students will be able to brainstorm solutions to potential informational barriers, and will also engage in experiential learning by drafting in real time example information requests.
