This on-going class will provide students with engaging topics to learn how to master writing a 5 paragraph essay.
In each class period, we will:
😀 Begin with a welcome and greeting.
🎤 Introduce the writing topic
💡Use of a graphic organizer to brainstorm ideas and organize our thoughts prior to writing.
✍️ Finally, I will model for students how to use the graphic organizer to begin the writing
process.
- During this time, we will discuss:
✔️ How to write topic sentences that draw a reader in.
✔️ Sentence variety when adding details.
✔️ What paragraphs should include and not include.
✔️ How to write a concluding paragraph.
Week of November 25 - Persuasive essay
Week of December 2 - Narrative essay
Week of December 9 - Persuasive essay

✔️ Learn how to plan for writing using a graphic organizer.
✔️ Develop detailed paragraphs that include a topic, details, and a conclusion.
✔️ Expand and enhance their essay writing skills.

I have a masters in education, and I am a certified teacher in elementary education, as well as a Reading Endorsement K-12. Over the years, I have specialized in helping students through extensive training in Science of Reading, dyslexia, and Orton Gillingham.

My approach is tailored to meet the individual needs of each learner , ensuring that they not only learn but thrive.
