This course is a great introductory course to the world of horses for every horse-crazy kid! We will learn about the horse body, colors, markings, patterns, and breeds. As we move through these topics, students will become more fluent and comfortable with equine terminology. This is a great class to come together with students of similar interests and age to engage in discussion and learning about the animal they love, horses!

As a teacher, I enjoy bringing class to life using photos, videos, slides and life examples. Class will have discussion times for students to express thoughts, ideas and experience of the topic at hand.

Week 1- Introduction to the Course – Body Parts of the Horse - Students will learn general equine anatomy including parts of the body, parts of the hoof and general structure of the horse. We will dive into the importance of knowing the correct parts of the horse and play a game amongst each other of identifying each part.
