🍏In this fun and interactive Language Arts class, students will learn and practice reading comprehension strategies, grammar and essay writing skills through games, group discussions and independent activities. The curriculum will be based on grades 5th-8th English Language Arts standards. The key concepts that will be taught and reviewed will involve the following: theme, central idea, citing textual evidence, character analysis, plot elements, grammar , figurative language, text structure, poetry elements, argumentative writing, informational writing, and narrative writing. In the event that students are unable to complete independent activities and assignments during class, students can complete the activity outside of class before the next class meeting.
