***Sessions are by request only. Please message for availability.*** 20+ year middle and high school veteran teacher with experience teaching honors, regular, and struggling students Language Arts & English. I am a certified ESE and ESL teacher who has strived to meet every student where they are and help them master skills and concepts. Everyone can learn. We just have to find the strategy that works for the student. Sessions can focus on brainstorming and planning writing prompts, guided reading, editing assistance, homework help, public speaking practice, or grammar tutoring. ***Sessions are by request only. Please message for availability.*** In order to use our time wisely, please reach out prior to class with your learner's specific needs. Helpful information to provide: 1. What does your student struggle with the most? Reading, writing, public speaking, note taking, study skills, etc. 2. What is your main goal for these sessions? (homework help, classwork help, review, school prep, test prep, etc.) 3. What grade is he/she in? Learners are required to reach out ahead of time with the work they have or what they struggle with the most. If they do not do so prior to 48 hours before the session, the teacher can reach out to reschedule.

I have taught English and been an educational therapist for over 20 years. I have a Bachelors degree in English with a minor in marketing. I earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. I’ve taught Language Arts, English, Creative Writing, and Theatre at the middle school and high school level. I am certified in English as a Second Language and Special Education.
Learning isn’t always easy and it take time and hard work. It’s not about being perfect the first time, but trying and learning from our mistakes. I am not a perfect person and I don’t expect my students to be perfect. Every student has different strategies that meet their specific needs.
I currently live in Florida and have an adult daughter living and working in the theatre in New York City. I love visiting her and spending time in the city, but I am always happy to arrive back home to my little Florida town.Reseñas
