In this lesson, 1st graders to 5th graders will learn about the artist Heather Galler who is known for her bright and bold folk art style. We will talk about art forms and show that art isn't as difficult as you would think. With just lines, patterns, and use of color your child will create a masterpiece. Using permanent markers, students will draw their own design a bouquet of flowers and add color with crayons and watercolor paint to create their own work of art. After we create our work of art the students will present their finished pieces to the class.
