In this course, students will review letter sounds, then use them to build, read, and write CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words. We will also learn a few sight words (so that we can read sentences)!
Reading CVC words is a foundational early reading skill, and sets students up to successfully decode larger words. 
During this class, we will use whiteboards, word sorts, chants, and games to gain lots of exposure to CVC words. With practice, learners will become fluent in reading these words!
I have a fun, consistent, and familiar teaching style which allows students to feel safe and comfortable in the classroom.

*Note that weekly short vowel focuses repeat. Content will cycle every 20 lessons. Learners are welcome to join anytime. Parents are responsible for keeping track of when their child was enrolled to avoid repeated lessons, if desired. Learners are invited to stay in the class for repeated lessons when useful and applicable.
