Habilidades de lectura tempranas: diversión con la fonética

Does your child want their reading level to improve? Are they struggling to decode words in books? Well, you have come to the right class!

In this ongoing class, Early Reading Skill- Fun with Phonics, your child will build sufficient phonics skills that will grow their reading abilities! This ongoing class is geared towards 1st Grade learners, however older children are more than welcome to join if they need additional intervention with these foundational skills.
This 35 minute Fun with Phonics class is based on a systematic routine where learners will engage in a mixture of of the following skills: decoding and encoding, phoneme deletion or substitution (onset or rime), connected text with that weeks targeted sound, rhyming, and interactive writing. There will be high engagement and participation! Your learner will look forward to class each week and most importantly, will look forward to seeing their growth as a reader. 
The class size will be kept small (up to 6 students) in order to ensure every child understands the material. Each class will be guided by the teacher, but students are also expected to write down up to 2 sentences during interactive writing. Please see the supply list below for further information on what your learner should have to ensure best experience in this class. The class will be recorded so that learners have the ability to look back at previous lessons or watch a lesson they may have missed. 

Here are some phonics skills your learner will learn:

Week, April 16th: Consonant Blends ( beginning and ending),
Week 2, April 23rd: Digraphs and trigraphs,  Week 3, April 30th: Silent -e
Week 4, May 7th: Variant Vowel
