This class is an ongoing Dungeons & Dragons campaign. It will use the 5th Edition rules and will incorporate situations that require critical thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, role-playing, and imagination. The student should have a solid foundation of the basic rules of 5th Edition. Resources and references will be provided as needed, to facilitate a better understanding of the rules and game mechanics. This adventure will take the players from 1st level to 20th level, depending on how long they participate in the campaign. We will use dndbeyond.com for creating and tracking characters and refer to it during sessions, as needed. The Dungeon Master will use the Roll20.net virtual tabletop to run the game. Players will each get a custom token to represent their character and will not need to have a Roll20 account. I will be using it on my end and the players will describe their actions and use the virtual tabletop as a visual reference. The adventure will involve this rough outline. It is intentionally vague, so as to not give away the story or potential progression and also reflects the fact that the players will have a large part in dictating where the adventure goes. Week 1: There will be a short meet and greet and then an opportunity to role-play with one another and get acquainted. They will have the opportunity to choose from a few different tasks or areas of interest as we dive into the story. Week 2: Depending on the choices from week 1, the players will be exploring different aspects of the adventure and exploring any of the various areas and storylines that are possible. Week 3 and on: Due to the fact that that the players' actions and decisions will shape the story, it isn't possible to determine how things will play out. At this point, the players are directing the story! Players will have many opportunities to really create whatever experience they desire. Want to start a fort? Want to raise an army? Start a shipping business? A thieves guild? Whatever it is the players want, we can make it happen. This is a homebrew world that is yours for the shaping! ***PLEASE READ*** Guidelines: All sources are acceptable for character creation, as long as it is published D&D material. Playtest sources will be considered on a case by case basis and require approval. All characters must use the Point Buy method for Ability Score Generation. The Character should start at 1st level. Feats and Multiclassing are allowed but must follow requirements. No Homebrew material outside of my own is allowed.
