In this 4-week flex class, learners will learn about and draw 8 zoo animals.  We will compile our 8 illustrations into a zoo portfolio.  Students will name their zoo, create an optional cover for their zoo, and share it with our class group.  

Students will develop their spatial awareness and artistic confidence by following the directed drawing instructions.  By creating a cumulative keepsake with their work, students will take pride in their creation and hopefully feel eager to share their zoo with family and friends. 

How will the class be organized?
I will post directed drawing videos and instructions twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays.  Students will be expected to post their drawings and offer compliments to their classmates.  They will receive individual feedback from me on each art piece.  
In addition to our artwork, students will also be provided links to short animal videos and engage in discussion questions about the animals with fellow students. 

At the end of our course, I will post an additional video with instructions to compile the work into a zoo portfolio.  Students can create an optional cover for their portfolio with the name of their zoo.  When students complete and post their finished zoo portfolio, they will receive a printable certificate.

*This is a flex class.  That means this course does not include live meetings.
