*This class is for teens. Please look at my profile for this same class for ages 9-12* Ready, set..... SKETCH! Let's learn how to draw one sketch at a time while learning and practicing drawing techniques. All levels are welcome. GOAL As a professional artist who specialized in old master drawing and painting methods, my goal here on Outschool is to teach young artists the tools to create confidently and independently. ABOUT In this drawing class, we will focus on a different drawing technique or subject each week. We will cover everything from nature to the human body. Art, just like everything else, takes time and patience to learn. This class will not only teach artists valuable techniques but will also give learners the opportunity to practice applying what they learn. This class is laidback and fun. Each class is different and does not build on each other so it is perfect for busy artists. Learners are muted for background noise, but are welcome and encouraged to share thoughts and ask questions! WHAT IS COVERED As we draw various topics, we will be going through these techniques and/or focuses: Shapes, Contour/Lines, Mark Making, Measuring, Positive/Negative Spaces, Thumbnails/Ideas, Draw from Life, Light and Shadow, Shading/Blending, Symmetry, Textures, Perspective, Anatomy, Composition, Telling a Story, Details, Expression/Movement SCHEDULE Classes are on Mondays at 8pm EST and Thursdays at 8:45pm EST *Note - topics may change as learners are welcome to suggest topics they need help with. Beginners are encouraged to draw alongside me. Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
I graduated from Grand Central Atelier in New York City where I was trained to draw and paint realistically in a traditional way. While I usually draw realistically, I also enjoy using this approach to draw in different styles. My goal is to teach children the tools of drawing and give them the opportunity to practice applying them so that they will be able to draw what they want independently.
