Calling all dragon enthusiasts! Do you love the Wings of Fire series by Tui T. Sutherland? Do you dream of bringing your favorite dragons to life on paper? Well, now you can! There is no need to know about the books to draw amazing dragons! Join us for our weekly learn-to-draw sessions, where we'll explore the different tribes and their unique features. We'll focus on a new dragon type each week, breaking down their anatomy and providing step-by-step instructions. Let's have some fun and make our very own dragons! This is a safe place to be creative and enjoy learning to draw!✍️ No matter your skill level, these sessions are designed to help you improve your drawing skills and unleash your inner dragon artist. ✨ Here's what you can expect: Easy-to-follow instructions: We'll guide you through each step of the drawing process, making it accessible for everyone. Expert tips and tricks: Learn how to capture the unique characteristics of each dragon tribe, from their scales and horns to their wings and tails. A supportive community: Share your work and connect with other Wings of Fire fans! ~ IMPORTANT~ Be on time for class! This is a step-by-step lesson, and you need to be on time. If your artist is late, I will let them in class, and they can participate where we are in the drawing. I will offer your artist the option of doing the complete lesson on the recording after class has finished and the lesson has been uploaded to the cloud. I will give feedback on the student's progress and suggestions to improve their artistic skills. Artists are encouraged to hold their art up to the camera multiple times each class if they want help or encouragement, although this is optional. Artists are also welcome to ask for help during class at any point, so they never have to worry about getting stuck. ~Paper, a pencil, and an eraser are all you need. Please see the supplies I will use for each lesson. Digital drawing, colored pencils, or markers are always welcome in class! I encourage every artist to use what works best for them. Required Supplies: Smooth white paper 8 1/2 x 11 Pencils HB or #2 Erasers Blending Stump or Q-tip Recommended Supplies: Sketchbook https://amzn.to/4gza9Ov Drawing set https://amzn.to/3EvhkKe *All class times are approximate. Class length varies based on student ability and the number of enrolled learners. Classes are designed to run at most the allotted time.* *Please note: This is an art class, and I can only give feedback and proper instruction if your child has their camera on and communicates with me. This allows me to see how students progress and ensure no one falls behind. *According to Outschool policy, all students need to be registered separately. If they are not, they are to be placed in the waiting room until the parent can make arrangements to register the extra learners, or the teacher may refund them. We understand the desire for friends or siblings to watch, but if two children participate under one registration, they will be sent back to the waiting room per Outschool policy. One child per registration. It is acceptable for registered learners to share a screen! I do not offer refunds or transfers 24 hours before class time. I adhere to the Outschool refund and transfer policy: “Full refund or class-to-class transfer within 24 hours of the class start time.” If you miss the class, you can view the class recording on the classroom page.

Unleash your inner artist with drawing lessons for young creators!
I dream of making a fun space for young people to feel safe, be creative, and build confidence!
Do you have a young artist who loves drawing:
Dragons like Toothless from HTTYD or the fierce tribes of Wings of Fire?
The brave cats of Warrior Clans or the wonders of real animals?
Maybe their imagination wants to create something entirely new!
No matter what they love to draw, I'm here to help them learn and grow!
My passion is to inspire young people to:
~Find courage and confidence in their creativity.
~Master the skills to bring their artistic visions to life.
~Have fun and enjoy the process of creating.
From basic drawing techniques to exploring different mediums, my interactive classes are designed to:
~Build confidence and self-esteem.
~Spark the imagination and fuel creativity.
~Develop essential skills like observation and problem-solving.
~Most importantly, foster a lifelong love for art!
Whether your young artist is a beginner or wants to refine their skills, I have a class for them!
My journey began with sketching as a child and working on graphic designs for T-shirts as a teen. As an adult, I have designed and painted larger-than-life murals and now teach art classes to the public. I currently teach weekly live worldwide art classes online. I get in-person interaction with my local events for those in the Houston, Texas, area!
I reside in Houston, Texas, and I am a retired homeschooled mom of three. (My last kid graduated in 2024). And a proud U.S. Marine Mom! When not putting my latest art onto paper, I can be found "pumping iron" at the gym with my husband of over 27 years. My family is very committed to saving animals, and our house is always full of foster animals from our local animal shelter! Beware, you may see or hear a puppy, kitten, or guinea pig in a live class!
My passion is inspiring young people to find courage and confidence in their creations! Imagination is the doorway to being able to express yourself and be happy!
Motto: Be who you needed when you were younger.
