This 6-week Outschool course is designed to equip students transitioning to 4th grade with the foundational math skills they need to succeed in the coming year. Through a combination of interactive activities, games, and clear explanations, students will develop a strong understanding of key concepts and build confidence in their math abilities.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

Week 1: Multi-Digit Whole Numbers:
Read and write multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.
Compare two multi-digit numbers based on the meanings of the digits in each place, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.

Week 2: Rounding for Efficiency:
Use place value understanding to round multi-digit whole numbers to any place value (tens, hundreds, thousands etc.).

Week 3: Mastering Addition and Subtraction:
Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.

Week 4: Problem-Solving Power:
Apply multiplication and division concepts to solve real-life word problems, identifying the appropriate operation based on the context.

Week 5: Exploring Number Relationships:
Define and identify factors for a whole number in the range 1–100.
Recognize that a whole number is a multiple of each of its factors.
Determine whether a given whole number in the range 1–100 is a multiple of a given one-digit number.
Differentiate between prime and composite numbers for whole numbers in the range 1-100.

Wrap Up (Week 6):
Review and demonstrate mastery of key concepts learned throughout the course.
Identify personal strengths and areas for further development in math.
