ATTENTION STUDENTS TAKING THE SAT IN 2024: Devote four weeks of your summer to the Digital SAT English section so that you'll be ready for targeted practice up until test day.

Imagine having to learn and practice each of the twelve skills tested on the SAT English section during the school year...squeezing bits of practice in between your busy schedule of school assignments, exams, and extracurriculars...practicing one skill and then only having time to practice the next skill a month later when you have already forgotten what you initially studied...

Now, imagine that you devoted one month of your summer (really only about twenty hours) to building your skills, learning how to approach each each question type, and practicing the entire section. And all you need to do between your summer camp and the test date is to continue practicing the skills (with materials I give you)...Now studying the SAT during the school year is a less stressful and more organized occasion...Yay!

What I’ll do as your teacher:

-Make sure you’re familiar with the new Digital version of the exam

-Teach you strategies for each question type

-Send you tons of passage practice

-Track your progress through a pre-test and a post-test (after the eighth class all students enrolled will receive a post-test)

What you’ll get as my student…

-All the information you’ll need for the new Digital SAT English section, including a run-down of the different types of questions, memorization techniques for grammar rules, and strategies for test day

-A teacher who is there to motivate you to keep studying and who will always pick you up when you feel overwhelmed or frustrated (because trust me this test can be overwhelming and frustrating)

-A safe judgment-free classroom environment where you learn with and from your classmates

What you’ll do outside of class…

-A pre-test (which I’ll message you right when you enroll)

-Homework (usually studying with pre-made Quizlets or passage practice)

-Post-test (after the final class)

For the weekly schedule, please check the syllabus.

How to decide between this camp and my other camps:

-If your child is going into 9th or 10th grade, I recommend my PSAT/NMSQT camp. The content is similar to my SAT class. All of the practice questions will come from the PSAT/NMSQT.
-If your child is going into 11th or 12th grade, I recommend my summer camp for the Digital SAT. The content is slightly more difficult than the PSAT camps and all of the question types come from the SAT.

Metas de aprendizaje

Students will feel confident on test day, as they will know how to tackle the Digital SAT English section. They'll better understand the reading passages and how to apply process of elimination. For grammar questions, they'll be familiar with the rules.
