Join this 4-day camp to improve your figurative language skills using “meme” -inspired photos! 

We'll start with an overview of figurative language, which will help you to convey your message effectively and enhance your writing!

💡 Proper use of figurative language will help you better comprehend what you read and make your writing more engaging. 
✍️ You can share your answers through whiteboard/marker or via the chat feature.  
🦾 We will discuss and defend responses after each slide. 

Each day will focus on a specific topic:
Day 1:  Idioms
Day 2:  Puns 
Day 3:  Similes & Metaphors
Day 4:  Homophones

I am honored to be an Outschool 5-Star ACE Educator, an Outschool STAR Educator & an Outschool OUTSTANDING Educator since 2023!

Thank you so much for visiting my class information page!  In addition to having a Master's in Education degree, I am a certified (State, GT, ESL, TESOL, TEFL, TEYL) teacher who has been working with kids in a variety of capacities for over 25 years!  I love teaching students how to learn!  My goal as a teacher is to help students not only learn material, but to develop a love of learning as well.  I understand that every learner is unique, so I strive provide meet them where they are.  I focus on helping students learn content while incorporating important life skills such as: communication, problem solving, creative thinking and social skills.  My teaching style is very learner-led!  

Please note that all of my classes are ESL and neuro-divergent friendly.  I strive to provide inclusive classes in which learners of all abilities are welcome.  Feel free to contact me prior to class with any accommodation requests.
