In this year long course, each week, we will travel to a different part of the medieval world, discover and discuss what was happening, and then complete a fun art project that goes along with our weekly theme.  Though the terms "Middle Ages" and "Medieval" primarily relate to Western cultures, we will explore a few other regions during this same time period.

Learners will engage with the stories of the people of the medeival world through discussion questions, and a step by step historically themed art project each week 

We begin each class with presentation about that week's topic, including questions and discussion in the classroom. Discussion topics will include the cultural context of the middle ages: socio/economic advances, religions, languages, individuals, ideas, stories and wars  through an interactive multimedia power point presentation.  Then, we continue the discussion while we draw something related to what we just learned.  Young learners have the opportunity to take their understanding to a deeper level as they draw what they just learned.
