En esta clase, los alumnos se unirán a mí para pintar un paisaje con acuarela. La clase participará en un dibujo rápido (mapeo) de un paisaje y luego se embarcará en instrucciones de acuarela de colores con consejos y trucos para hacer su obra.

There will be an art piece we will work on involving skills, color mixing, and enjoying time with others while creating. Students will have a great opportunity to interact, ask questions, and discuss anything on the topic of our class. Student goals will be to have fun, learn new skills, and interact with others! Often, there are only one enrollment slot requested. Please reach out if an enrollment time for 1 on 1 is preferred for your learner before signing up so I can adjust the classroom size to accommodate this request.

Please remember learners are expected to follow directions and use paint properly. If your learner is off-task from painting, misusing paints, or with the camera/sound off, I cannot intervene as needed nor get your attention to come and assist with your learner. I will have to remove the learner and contact you with the safety support team. This ensures that learners are safe both in the class and at home.
Reminder: There is a 10-minute late policy and the class zoom will be locked, please arrive on time to avoid missing the full lesson or class. Please send me a message in Outschool if there is a minor tardy, I am happy to be flexible.

Watercolors (dry or tube) palette, mixing palette (wax paper or plate works fine), brushes, watercolor paper (preferred), masking tape (for borders, not required), crayons, paper towel, pencil, and water cup to clean off brush.

Hello and welcome!
Thank you for coming to take a look! I teach arts & crafts, K-5 classes, electives, and clubs. I have been teaching for 9 years in different positions such as a learning center teacher, substitute, facilitator, and club leader. I have loved every position because of the amazing students and the opportunities we get to take in their educational careers.
Most students that I have taught say they've had a great and amazing time and the others think I'm funny and cool. So overall past students really enjoy me, as much as I enjoy them! Keeping it fun, interactive, engaging, and real with my students makes all the difference in our day together. Learning is not all about lectures and tests, it's about engagement and hands-on learning for our students.
Certifications I currently hold are substitute teacher and TESOL for ESL/ELL. I have subbed for 5 years in various California school districts and immersed in English Language Learners education throughout my career.
Something fun about me, I LOVE to do my own nails. Yes, I prefer to do them myself. I find new products to try out, paint, design them basically anything! I started being interested when I was around 8 or 9 years old and I self-taught how to paint, make hearts, just really try anything. Once YouTube became available (yes, I'm older than I look) it really was endless possibilities. I like sharing this with my students because it gives them a chance to see no matter what it is if you are interested enough you can make it a hobby or passion!
