Patterns are all around us and playing with patterns is a lot of fun! Children learn to recognize, create, copy and extend patterns through repeated daily activities. In Mathematics, a pattern is a repeated arrangement of numbers, shapes, colors, etc. In this one-time class, learners will practice patterning, with a dinosaur theme. We will look at pictures of dinosaurs, identify and name them, decide the pattern and color them. Some of the dinosaur patterns we will discuss are AB, ABB, AABB and ABCD. Materials: I have attached the 3 worksheets for class to the welcome message. It is helpful if the dinosaurs from the bottom of the Dinosaur Patterns #1 worksheet are already cut out before class because cutting can take a long time with multiple students and slow the pace of the class. Also, a glue stick and a rag or towel to wipe hands if they get sticky, crayons, pencils, colored pencils or markers and safety scissors. NOTE: You can enroll your child in this class if you don't have a printer. I will have the worksheets displayed on the screen so we can complete them together that way. Your learner can also draw dinosaur patterns on paper.

Hello! My name is Sharon, Teacher Sharon. I am both thankful and excited to have this opportunity to help children from all over the world have fun while learning. I love making learning fun!
I have my Masters of Education (MEd) and over 20 years of experience teaching and learning from children of all ages. I have experience as a nursery school director, a Kid's Club supervisor (twice) and a classroom teacher for Pre-K through high school. I have also taught technology, after-school elementary science classes, cupcake decorating, and brick building.
I am very fortunate to have grown up overseas and have lived all over the world. Some of my many passions include creating fun, educational classes, scuba diving, traveling, science, crafting, my precious dog, cat, fish and snails and of course teaching.
I like to keep class sizes small to help learners engage and participate. If your child is interested in any of my classes that are not currently scheduled, or if a different time or day would work better for you, please feel free to contact me.
Learning in my classroom is engaging, energetic, fun, enjoyable, upbeat and entertaining. "Your child won't want to leave at the end of class and will beg to come back for more." (That's my superhero catch phrase.)
NOTE: I am very flexible with class scheduling. If you are interested in one of my classes, but you don't see it listed on a day or time that you want, please find a class that is already listed when you want the class. Send me a message and I will do my best to switch the class that you want with the one that is already listed.
I look forward to helping your child have fun while learning. Have a wonderful day,
~Teacher Sharon🙂
