Dinosaur Explorers: Journey to the Prehistoric World Step into the world of dinosaurs in this exciting 12-week interactive class! Young paleontologists will dig deep into prehistoric life through hands-on activities, creative projects, and fascinating discoveries. What Will Be Taught? Students will explore the world of dinobiology, uncovering how dinosaurs lived, evolved, and eventually disappeared. We’ll also examine fossils, dinosaur adaptations, food chains, extinction theories, and even how modern birds are linked to dinosaurs! Topics Covered: -Fossils and how they form -Dinosaur classification (herbivores, carnivores, omnivores) -Adaptations and defenses (horns, armor, speed) -Prehistoric ecosystems and food chains -Theories of dinosaur extinction -Paleontology and real fossil discoveries -Evolution and the link between dinosaurs and birds Class Structure & Teaching Style: Each week, we’ll follow a fun and engaging structure, including: -Interactive slides to introduce key concepts -Hands-on activities like creating fossils or designing a dinosaur -Games and quizzes to reinforce learning -Short video clips to bring dinosaurs to life -Discussion time where students share ideas and ask questions Learner Interaction: This class is highly interactive! After graduation I taught one year in 2nd grade before moving to join the kindergarten team for 5 years. I decided to leave the classroom when my first son was born but my passion for teaching and learning have never dissipated. I now homeschool both of my sons, ages 7 and 10 have taught multiple online classes since 2020. I love teaching and learning all things especially science!
