This is a 3-Day Series. Students will meet 3 times to complete Part 3. Please note: Classes will meet 3 times within the same week for Summer Break. Basic computer skills like typing, opening and closing programs, saving and exporting files, and mouse maneuvering are prerequisites. For students who have no animation experience, it is required that they have completed Series Part 1 and 2 before they join this class. Please see links below: Part 1: Fundamentals in Anime Movies Production https://outschool.com/classes/digital-animation-camp-part-1-fundamentals-in-anime-movies-production-A3zAZlPc?refuid=RzeseCIM Part 2: Visual Effects https://outschool.com/classes/digital-animation-camp-part-2-anime-movies-production-visual-effects-aow0ddB8?refuid=RzeseCIM In Part 3, experienced learners will be combining their artistic skills in human anatomy and knowledge of animation to animate pose-to-pose dynamic movement and utilizing in-between “motion blurs” to make the action look fluid and natural. This technique is most frequently used to animate combat characters to create mesmerizing fight scenes. Day 1 Kakashi Hand Signs Students will draw Kakashi from the elbows up using the ninjutsu hand sign to animate hand movements. Students will create start and end frames as Keyframes and insert a "motion blur" as an Inbetween to create a seamless loop between the flow of the action.. Day 2 Bakugo Punching Students will animate Bakugo, from the waist up, reeled back for a punch before bending into a "motion blur" and shooting his arm forward towards the opposite side of the frame. Students will create two Keyframes, starting with a frame where Bakugo pulls back his arm, then ending with a frame where his arm is fully stretched out and his fist foreshortened. A "motion blur" frame with his arm thrusting halfway forward is used as an Inbetween. Day 3 Vegeta Roundhouse Kicking Students will be animating a full body Saiyan prince Vegeta kicking into the air and using foreshortening and "motion blur" to create a dramatic, high-speed and fluid movement. Students will create two Keyframes, starting with a frame where Vegeta's leg is halfway high up at waist level, then ending with a frame where his leg is fully stretched out to level with his head. A "motion blur" frame with his leg halfway up in the air is used as an Inbetween. This is a class for anime enthusiasts who would like to bring their characters to life with animation and produce movies digitally. By starting small and simple and committing to a deeper understanding of fundamental principles, we engage students with a gradual process of discovery and refinement as they try to push their work to a new higher standard. Class is highly-interactive and students will have the opportunity to exchange their ideas and chat with other Anime fans. Students are encouraged to pursue their interests in the Intermediate Level where they will take their animation skills to create longer projects with higher complexity. _______________________________________ Please read below for frequently-asked questions on our policies: Mandatory Video Check-In Video check-in is mandatory for safety purposes per Outschool policy. Students are required to have their cameras on to allow the teacher to check in and verify each learner. Turning on their video at least once is also a requirement to access the recordings of meetings. After check-in, students have the option of either turning off their camera or leaving it on, whatever is their preference. Learn more about this by going to: https://support.outschool.com/en/articles/4063624-learner-verification Missed Classes & Refunds All of our classes are backed by the ‘Limited’ refund policy. In the event that no students are in the classroom at the assigned class time, the teacher will leave a message in the classroom and exit after ten minutes of waiting per Outschool policy. Lista de útiles escolares
Hardware: Students will need two devices. One will be used to view the class on Outschool (can be a phone) and the other device will be needed to draw and animate. The second device must have a stylus. Software: Photopea Here is the link to access this browser-based free online digital editing program: https://www.photopea.com Photopea is a free browser based photo editor and illustration tool capable of rendering and exporting images and basic animations. The interface works just like Adobe Photoshop but with limited functionality to make it viable for use in the browser. It is completely free to use making it a budget friendly way to learn digital art, you do not need to create an account or subscribe. Photopea can run on any device (desktop, laptop, tablet, phone or any other computer), but for the best comfort, we recommend having a big screen, a precise pointing device (a mouse or a stylus) and a keyboard. Photopea runs completely in your device, just like Sketch or Photoshop do. It is compatible for both Mac and Windows.
