En este curso de escritura creativa, los escritores reticentes se inspirarán para escribir mientras usan su imaginación para crear una tierra imaginaria. Los estudiantes diseñarán su tierra de fantasía y escribirán una historia basada en ella.

Let's make our dreams a reality! Using our critical thinking skills, students will design a fictional -imaginary land that they will use as a setting for their stories. Students will be given the creative freedom to develop ideas for their land (For example, if a student likes cotton candy -> they can make a cotton candy land) Students will engage in conversation with one another to brainstorm further ideas. Using a handout provided, students will develop and write details such as a name for their land, location, attractions in their land, and any other ideas that they would like to include for their fantasy land. After writing and describing their land, students will be asked to use their land as the central focus and setting for a fictional story. Students will be given prompts and ideas for possible story ideas (ex: adventure on the land, mystery on the land, etc). As a class, we will discuss the important aspects of a story(characters, setting, plot, conflict, and solution) and then students will be given time to independently work on their stories. Students will be guided through the writing process and will be given the opportunity to orally share before and after writing.

Hello! My name is Alizae Mohamed! For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a teacher which is why I decided to pursue a bachelors in elementary education.
I have a B.A in Childhood Education and I am very passionate about teaching. I am a teacher by profession, but most importantly, I'm a lifelong learner who is always seeking new ways to make learning fun and attainable for each student.
My classes are a safe place for your student to learn, discover, and have fun! My goal is to make learning fun and meaningful for each student.
