Baila: Zumba para niños de 4 a 7 años

Welcome to Zumba Kids with Rachel! I am a Registered Nurse, Wellness Coach & Licensed Zumba Instructor of 8 years. This is a 25 minute class for learners 4-6. We will dance to kid appropriate music from around the world ( Reggaeton, Merengue, Salsa, Cumbia & more!). "Dance It" refers to dancing through life. 

For each class we will begin with introductions so the children can have a chance to say hello! I am very big on community and connection, so I want to get the students talking. Then, we will proceed with stretching and warming up the body to safely increase the heart rate. Then we will dance to the different styles of music. There will be one game/extra movement activity each class. I find that this can help children feel more relaxed in class. We will end the class with a cool down so we can safely end our dance workout.

This experience is meant to be fun! Please know that it's not about the moves you get right or wrong. Trust me, even Teacher Rachel can get lost in the movement and miss a move! It's about smiling, laughing, moving and enjoying the music. Remember, there's no grades here. Just movement, music and friends.


The direction of each class with be student led based on receptiveness of dance styles and music, but I will always include the basic rhythms used in Zumba classes.
