The learning goals for this course will be to explain the forecast process, forecast parameters, and why the Allied forecast was so important to the success of the Normandy landing. There will be an attached note taking document with pictures to help the student learn and retain the information. The desire of the teacher is to engage the students with questions and dialogue to help them further learn from history and answer questions about the D-Day Invasion weather forecast. There will be no assigned home work in this class and the teaching style will be lecture via power point material with a few questions asked of the students.

The student will learn how important the weather forecast was for the D-Day planning, the forecast teams, forecast criteria, and how having all the needed data gave the allies more information than the Germans.
