Get ready for an exciting journey into the world of nocturnal animals with Creatures That Go Bump in the Night, a thrilling four-week course designed for teens ages 13-18 who are curious about the mysteries of the night! This Halloween-themed class will dive deep into the adaptations, behaviors, and survival strategies of animals that thrive under the cover of darkness. [New to Outschool? Use my referral code LYSrgggW for $20 off your first class!] Each week, we’ll explore a different nocturnal creature, from stealthy predators like owls and bats to eerie, glow-in-the-dark animals that light up the night. We'll uncover how these creatures navigate the darkness, hunt their prey, and stay hidden from their own predators. Along the way, we’ll also discuss “crepuscular” animals, who prefer dawn and dusk over complete darkness. This course combines interactive discussions, engaging video clips, and fun challenges that will bring the spooky world of nocturnal animals to life. My teaching style is hands-on and designed to spark curiosity, with opportunities for learners to share their thoughts, ask questions, and explore optional quizzes or tasks after class. Perfect for students who love animals, zoology, and a dash of Halloween fun! Join us in Creatures That Go Bump in the Night and discover the eerie wonders of the animal kingdom like never before!
