Creando cuentos cortos

In this class, students will see how to come up with stories from things that they see around them and from their imagination. We will practice these techniques in class.

Week 1: What makes a short story and do pictures have to be a part of it or can music be a part of it too?
Homework: Write a few lines about something in your home, using your imagination: it could be about a piece of paper or even a toothbrush.

Week 2: Making a story flow: how do we come up with a beginning, middle and end, and make it interesting so that people would want to read the story?
Homework: Think of a beginning, middle and end to a story and bring that idea to class.

Week 3: Making the students' stories come to life: we will practice techniques to make stories come alive
No homework

Week 4: Your story counts. Seeing every day objects and making them into a story.
