Their challenge is to create a detailed map of Aetheria using Inkarnate, incorporating the important locations, landmarks, and geographical features mentioned in the document. By the end of the course, each student will design a captivating map that reflects their imagination. Topics Covered: - Sign-up to Inkarnate and take a brief tour - Drawing your land - Creating rivers and lakes - Using stamps - Painting textures - Titles and layers - Final challenge - Create a map for a fantasy world described in a text document Class Structure: The course will be delivered using Nearpod, allowing for interactive and supportive learning. In this class, we will use Inkarnate, an online map-making tool that allows students to create and tell stories. This tool features fantasy themes, such as mythical creatures and magical landscapes, but contains no explicit content. Inkarnate is intended for users aged 13 and older, and when students create a free account, they will be asked to confirm their age.
