In this course, students will create a website on a topic that interests them.  There will be a combination of the instructor showing and then the students doing.  Students will learn the basics of how to create the site and the different elements they can add to the site.

Students will use the free Wix platform and learn the following skills.  The course will take 3 days and this is an overview, however, what is covered in each class may move into one of the other classes depending on time and student needs.

Class 1
** Signing up for an account (Wix requires its users to be over the age of thirteen (13) years, or sixteen (16) years if you are an individual within the European Union (EU), or of the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction.)
** Internet and website safety
** How to go back to your site for edits
** Adding design elements

Class 2
** Adding pages
** Adding presentations 
** Adding videos
** Adding images

Class 3
** Adding a discussion forum
** Adding a blog
** Including a chat feature
** Sharing your page
