Cree una aplicación para teléfonos inteligentes que funcione realmente: ¡no requiere codificación!

1 reunión en vivo
1 horas presencialesTarea
1 hora por semana. Students are encouraged to design their own app following the class.Experiencia de clase
In this course, we will build a working app together that students can share, and learn how to build their own. We will create a small dataset on a Google Sheet (spreadsheet) together, and use this data to create an interactive app that works on smartphones. When students build their own app they are able to share the link. We will use some interesting examples (like an app that tells you what animals are at the zoo and allows you to check them off as you see them) and discuss elements of the app, and what methods we could use. The app we build together is a great starting point for students to build their own apps, learn about spreadsheets and connected data, and start thinking about the world of programming. This class is great for beginners and advanced users alike and does not involve any coding. Students should use a laptop (chromebooks or tablets are not recommended) to take this class, and optionally come prepared with an internet connected cell phone or tablet to download the app to. Taking the class on a tablet only is not recommended as students will enter data into the sheet in the first part of the class.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will learn how to create a web based app using a spreadsheet, modify, update, and share their app.

Lista de útiles escolares
While students will not need anything to follow along as we collaboratively build an app, to build one on their own they will need a google account to set up their spreadsheet following the class. Students should use a laptop (chromebooks or tablets are not recommended) to take this class, and optionally come prepared with an internet connected cell phone or tablet to download the app to. Taking the class on a tablet only is not recommended as students will enter data into the sheet in the first part of the class.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
I love teaching programming using fun and interesting examples because it helps students go farther than learning hard to contextualize concepts. Understanding what we are doing and why means that students will be able to apply algebraic concepts (like x+y) having understood examples like (red bike + blue bike) in a way that has context and meaning.
